Here's how I treated myself during my 25th birthday, all paid by myself. :EvolGarlic's Chew 30 Session 3
It's not a lot in terms of quantity, but the price is. But hey, the joy of celebrating alone is worth it.
Hi, EvolGarlic here; here's another newsletter from your quirky article chef at your famous place where you can relax and enjoy reading something nice, fun, and informative: EvolGarlic's Gumbo Goodies Newsletter.
Chew 30 is back for the third time, and this third session is a special one because it's all about what I eat during my birthday:
As I woke up on Sunday 9th February, I was now level 25, a 25-year-old man, so it was a special day for me, but I am not going all out shouting to everyone that "IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!" because after years of experiences of being alone (no online friends to talk to or to hang out with) I appreciate the more "Silent Happy Birthday" pretend that it was a regular day, just eating whatever I feel like eating it, and I had been doing that for years, 3-4 years to be exact.
This year is no exception, it's the day where I spend the rest of my day napping, going to the market to buy dinner for my family (and the three dogs) working at night time before heading to bed, and all the meals and food is considered a birthday meal course, so I thought it would be nice to share some of the things i eat during my birthday as a 25-year-old man.
Now, before I tell you what I ate on that day, I only count the things that I ate that I pay by my money, so without further ado, let's dive in and see what I ate on my birthday, all of this while trying to chew it 30 times or more
1. Fried Pig Tail.

The first paid meal was an exotic one, because I never tried this before.
With the price of 60 baht per pigtail, I expected it to be a bone festival or some funky food, but as it is turning out, one of my predictions was right.
It was tasty, crunchy, and delicious, but the bone was a little big, so I was disappointed that I chewed kinda less meat the sauce was also delicious and went along well with the tail, and the pure and crunchy meat part was also a bliss, go along well with the sauce the seller is included in the box.
And for those who ask what is in the first cup, it is a fish sauce chili from my breakfast of fried eggplant in the morning, which I definitely dip in more than the original sauce.
2. Black Forest Cake (from 7-11)

After dinner, I sat down for a while, trying to let it all digest before hitting the next thing I brought for my birthday: A little chunk of Black Forest Cake from 7-11, with a price tag of 39 baht (hefty!)
After trying to figure out how to take it out while not making a mess on the table, I decided to eat it on the cover (flip it by holding the plastic side cover and dump it into the cover). I was ready to just dig in and taste it.

And the taste was so good, I was in bliss with it; the sweetness of strawberry and chocolate was going well together, and it was worth every bite of it, although I wished it was bigger so I could enjoy it more; I think my gut is going to explode with cake.
3. A box of Denisa Traditional Butter Cookies.

The last one, or the highlight of this session is the thing I brought for myself to eat, the first one to be exact, as I bought this from my Lotus's Market, walking around the market waiting for the check-out because the people in the market in that day are packed (since it was Sunday, which is the Flea Market Day in my town) so the cookies inside might be broken.

With the price of 35 baht, this is also hefty, but getting a bunch of old-fashioned butter cookies without paying a lot for the red box one is a deal, although the red box one might have the benefit of being a place for your grandma's sewing kits box.
Joke aside, this box of cookies is what I was devouring, and it was delicious, crispy, and buttery, so delicious, that I ate the whole box in just one sitting (no, I'm not eating the box, but all the edible thing in the box)
It was definitely an "I can't believe I ate the whole thing" Moment, and it left me with a little bit of buttery bliss and a spike of a sugar rush.
There you go, 3 things that I ate on my 25th birthday, it seems like a lot for you and for me, and the total amount of calories and cash might be too high, but the joy of eating these on my birthday alone, with no one to interrupt or steal a bite from is all I needed because sometimes, being a lonely person has a benefit, as long as you love yourself and exercising afterward, that's what "solitude" is about.
That's all from the Chew 30; see you in the next session, it might be a new type of food or the fast food restaurants that are waiting for me to chew on, but for now, I think I am not chewing it 30 times, maybe next session.
